"A Good Deed Will Make a Good Neighbor"
The business decisions affecting Blaire Meadows HOA are made by a Board of Directors. There are no specific requirements to be a member and amount of time devoted depends on your level/areas of interest. Board members must consider the Community as a whole and not have a specific agenda. You will have input in creating a budget, make decisions regarding issues of non-compliance and BMHOA violations, review contracts and delinquencies, generate resolutions and oversee our committees.

Seven of our neighbors comprise this Board. These positions are strictly served on a volunteer basis. There is no compensation nor reduction of yearly dues. If you would like to be a candidate, consider attending the May Town Hall meeting to see what’s involved.

Declaration of Covenents and Restrictions

See link above. The Declaration of Covenants and Restrictions (DCR) are the fundamental governing documents of the HOA, and establish the rules under which it exists and functions, and states the owners’ rights and restrictions on the use of common property as well as their obligations to participate in governing and funding the HOA.

Rules and Regulations

See link above. Rules and Regulations are a catch-all for things not covered by the DCR and By-Laws.

Membership and Voting

Membership in the HOA is mandatory for owners and a condition in the agreement to purchase a home in the HOA. Members have defined ownership interests that they can transfer to buyers of their home. Members pay assessments to the HOA for the operation of common property with collection enforceable through lien rights on their ownership interest. Members receive benefits in the form of maintenance of the common property among other governance activities performed by the HOA.

Members in good standing are eligible to vote for Directors of the HOA and for other matters.

Elections of Board Members

The next opportunity for election to a board seat can be held in 2021 if only a resident would take interest in one of these positions. With this board now existing for 25 years there has never been an election due to the fact that there has never been a candidate hopeful out of the 100 homes that makes up Blaire Meadows. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you would be interested in a position within this board.
